Remember the Nexus Launcher? The launcher is now renamed to Pixel Launcher. Recently, we heard about that Google is changing the brand name of Nexus to the Pixel, so the change of launcher name is a not big surprise. Let’s see the changes. Read on.

Apart from the rename, the launcher has also updated. Visually there is no big changes, but many things updated. First of all, on the home screen the date size is increased. The nexus launcher allowed you to place 5 apps, on the updated version you can place 4 apps. In the settings, now you can find the name of the launcher as Pixel Launcher, previously in nexus launcher no name found in the app settings.
Similar like nexus launcher, the Pixel launcher also not allow you to access the Google Now by swiping, you need to make the launcher as system app by flashing. to enable the swiping for Google Now.
When you install the Pixel Launcher, it automatically wipes the nexus launcher from your device. The another big change is in the Calendar app, it is now more dynamic, which means now it is more accurate to show date without accessing the app.
In the app drawer, you will find another change which is the navigation bar is transparent. And the spacing between the rows of apps is now bigger. Along with the launcher, there is wallpaper picker same as in nexus launcher.
