Back in last month, the popular smartphone brand OnePlus released Android Pie based Closed Beta testing for both OnePlus 3 and 3T. Well, today the company has released the community beta version of the Android 9.0 for both the OnePlus 3 and 3T, and that also suggest that the company is very close to the releasing of the stable update of the latest version of Android for its three year old devices.
The company has announced the community beta version of Android 9 via a post on the official OnePlus forum, the update will allow the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users to try the Android 9 Pie. This update can download and install by grabbing the update files from the company forum, OnePlus has also shared the install instructions as well.
What’s new in the update?
Going through the changelog, the Android Pie beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T devices will bring a new user interface, April Android Security patch, and new Do Not Disturb mode. Furthermore, the update also introduces the Gaming Mode 3.0 with added text notification mode, and notifications for third-party calls. That’s not all, the update also brings the Google Duo deep integration in the Phone app, as well as Google Lens in the Camera app.
We don’t believe that this version of Beta builds will not have lots of bugs, and we also expect that the company will roll out the stable version of the Android 9.0 update very soon.
