After many rumors about the specs being floating on internet of OnePlus 3T for quite some time, finally officially launched today. OnePlus launched their new device called ‘OnePlus 3T’. There’s not much improvement compared to OnePlus 3 but slight differences.
This new OnePlus 3T comes with 5.5 inch optic AMOLED display, it also has 2.5D curved glass with the resolution of 1920 x 1080. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset that’s a quad core CPU clocked at 2.35Ghz, earlier Snapdragon 820 on OnePlus 3 is clocked at 2.15Ghz. The battery is bumped up to 3400mah without any change in weight, thickness and design. There are two storage variants this time, 64GB & 128GB, and the device paired with 6 GB RAM. And there is no microSD card slot.
The front camera is also improved & bumped up to 16MP resolution with Samsung’s 3P8SP sensor with f/2.0 lens & Phase Detection Auto Focus. But the pixel size has decreased from 1.4nm to 1.0nm. This may decrease the low light photography quality. Video recording from front facing camera is restricted to 1080p. Sadly no Improvement in Rear camera, it’s still with the 16MP rear auto focus camera with LED flash.
Earlier rumors are there that OnePlus 3T will boot Android 7.0/7.1 nougat out of the box, but Sadly that’s also wrong as it will run 6.0.1 Marshmallow. OnePlus said that both 3T & 3 will get nougat together with same software by the end of the year. There’s a new color with 3T, ‘Gunmetal’. The OnePlus 3T will be available in 2 color options, Gunmetal and Soft Gold. The device has dual SIM card support with 4G LTE connectivity.
It will be available from November 22nd in USA and on November 28th in UK & Europe. But there is no information about the availability in India, but it will be available soon as OnePlus 3T is listed on OnePlus India store in the list, but showing error when opened.
