A few weeks back, OnePlus unveiled their new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6 in several variants. It packs a whole lot of features for half of the competitor’s price. During the launch, they said that OnePlus 6 will get portrait mode for the front camera with a software update later. Seems like the wait is going to over now, as OnePlus has released a software update which enables the same feature. So let’s have a look at all the changes being given in this update.
This is the OTA update which updates OxygenOS 5.1.6 on OnePlus 6. As I mentioned, this upgrade bought portrait mode in front camera. So now users can take selfies with bokeh or blur background. Another new camera feature in this update is Preview Bokeh. Now users can preview and set the level of bokeh in the background. It means the blur effect in the background. Apart from portrait selfie, this update also brings the support of Idea VoLTE on the device. Idea Cellular bought the VoLTE feature last month, and as of now, it’s available in a select range of devices. Now OnePlus 6 is also one of them.
Another major features and improvements of this update are better call clarity, better ringtone & sound quality via the speaker, and battery percentage in status bar. Below is the full changelog of this update:
So that’s all the information we have as of now. It will be interesting to see how well the portrait selfies will perform on this device. Regarding Idea VoLTE, I hope that OnePlus will bring this support on previous OnePlus devices like 5 and 3 series. What are your thoughts on this update? Let us know in the comment section below.
