The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 features a remarkable 4.3K resolution per eye and a 90fps refresh rate. It will also provide improved tracking capabilities along with up to 12 cameras and powerful on-device AI. This will offer more intuitive navigation and interaction within virtual spaces.
Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 features a 15% increase in GPU frequency and a 20% jump in CPU frequency compared to its predecessor. The chipset maker has also collaborated with Goertek to create a new reference design and the device comes with the XR2 Gen 2 for 3K resolution and another variant which is powered by the XR2+ Gen 2 for the full 4K experience.
It is also confirmed that the new processor will power the upcoming XR products from Samsung and Google. The company will also collaborate with at least five other hardware makers, including HTC.
