The popular chipset maker Qualcomm has introduced a new setup that will enable you to say goodbye to your physical SIM card. Yes, the company has integrated iSIM capability to the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor.
The chipset maker has joined its hand with Thales for the world’s first commercially iSIM on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor. It is also coming with the latest GSMA (Global Association for the Mobile Communications Industry) security certification.
The newly announced iSIM is fully compliant with the GSMA Remote SIM Provisioning standard and the same is having the capability for subscriptions remotely manageable through any standard platforms.
The iSIM is having the power to work within a smartphone’s main processor and the same is actually enabling Smartphone manufacturers to save some space as well as reduce build and supply chain costs while maintaining best-in-class security levels.
