According to the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, an upcoming Redmi flagship smartphone with the power of Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series flagship chipset is currently undergoing testing.
The device is reported to be announced in the first half of 2027. The tipster did not reveal the name of the device but it is expected to be the Redmi K100 Pro Max. The device is also expected to come with an advanced cooling solution.
Having said that, the upcoming Redmi K100 series is expected to be launched in the month of August this year including the vanilla variant and the Redmi K100 Pro. Both devices are expected to come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
Redmi is expected to launch the smartphone series with a 185Hz refresh rate along with a large 9,000mAh battery, and a 200-megapixel primary camera. The company will also include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, 100W wired charging, wireless charging support, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, a large vibration motor, and an IP-rated water-resistant design.
