Redmi’s flagship launch brings a wide range of hardware and software features to the smartphone. A new WekiHome teardown video captures the hardware’s design and performance-based capabilities.

Starting with a dedicated display, the smartphone gets a fantastic 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED screen from TCL, which also supports 144Hz of faster refresh rate. The teardown reveals that the display is assembled of M9 material and DC dimming support, which helps in a smooth visual and a flicker-free environment.
Chipset, RAM and Internal Storage
Teardown shows a glimpse into MediaTek 9400+ chipset, which is again paired with a micron LPDDR5X RAM as well as Samsung UFS 4.1 storage, adding up to its “high-end flagship capabilties”
Battery and Heating Capability
Redmi has also focused on offering the “best thermal capablities for gaming,” starting with a dedicated dual-layer stainless steel vapor chamber offering 11,400mm² thermal film combined with a 6,800mm² graphite sheet and multiple layers of thermal paste.
Heat testing was performed where Redmi K80 Ultra did really well as the phone temperature stayed below 41°C while playing faster 120FPS games. The Chinese phone maker has also focused on offering a good haptic motor and stronger tactile feedback.
When talking about battery capabilities, the Redmi K80 Ultra teardown shows its massive 7,410mAh battery, which can be charged with a bigger 100W wired charging.
The phone gets the support for “Bypass Charging Plus,” which helps reduce heat and improve battery health. Regarding port and capabilities, the phone has a dedicated USB-C port but has a limitation in the USB 2.0 data transfer rate.
Camera and Design

On the camera end, the phone gets a 50MP primary shooter; the teardown specifically shows it features a 1/1.55-inch primary 50MP sensor coupled with an 8MP (OVO8F) sensor on the front. You get a 20MP (OVO20B) selfie shooter too.
Last but not least, the Redmi K80 Ultra has an aluminum design with fiberglass on the back, giving it a premium look and the IP69 rating adds up as a cherry on top.

As we mentioned, Redmi K80 Ultra has only been launched in the Chinese smartphone, although we are seeing Redmi make its global debut soon!
As of now, there are no updates regarding the price, but looking at the flagship specs and capabilities, there are chances that the price for the Redmi K80 Ulra phone will be getting a price tag starting Rs. 55,000 and can go all the way up to Rs.65,000, giving it a tough call against flagship phone makers like OnePlus.
