Nothing Chats unveiled with iMessage Support
Nothing is now offering a new Nothing Chats messaging app and it will enable the users of the brand to communicate with iPhones using the RCS features. Nothing has created a new solution in collaboration with Sunbird Messaging and the Nothing Chats offers iMessage compatibility including the coveted green bubble messaging, full support for group chat messaging, live typing indicators, full-resolution media sharing, and voice notes. Read receipts, message reactions as well and replies features are said to be available very soon.
You can able to download the Nothing Chats through the Google Play Store from November 17 and it will be available exclusively for the users of the second generation phone of the company called the Nothing Phone 2. The messaging application will create and validate an Apple ID on an Apple device which users then use to log on to the Nothing Chats app. Nothing Chats messages are encrypted and the same will be available in the US, Canada, UK, and EU at launch.
Apple finally brings RCS support
The RCS support is the new standard and the same is a replacing SMS. It is already available on the Android platform and the feature is a long-awaited capability on the iPhone. Apple has finally confirmed that it will be offering RCS support for its iPhones next year which mix 2024.
For those who are not aware, RCS is the new generation messaging standard that is replacing the SMS which we have been familiar with for ages. The RCS will be offering a bunch of exciting features like read receipts along with typing indicators, the ability to send high-quality media files, and more.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 goes official
It is the new mobile processor for mid-range devices and the same comes with on-device artificial intelligence capabilities along with improved performance and power efficiency compared to the previous generation. The latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 comes with features including Google Ultra HDR image format support on Android 14, improved AI-based face detection, spatial audio with head tracking, and multi-device Snapdragon Seamless experiences. Vivo X100 series announced in China
The smartphone series features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with curved edges along with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The smartphone series is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The latest Vivo X100 and X100 Pro feature a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle unit, and a 64MP (50MP on Pro) telephoto lens with 3x optical and 100x digital zoom. The super telephoto camera uses the ZEISS-certified Vario -APO-Sonar lens. The smartphone series features a 32MP front-facing camera. The company also offers the devices with the Vivo’s proprietary V3 imaging chip for enhanced photography capabilities and recording 4K videos.
Under the hood, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro are powered by the latest MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 mobile processor along with up to 16GB LPDDR5T RAM and 1TB UFS 4 storage. The vanilla variant comes with a 5,000 battery and the big brother of the series is housing a large 5,400mAh battery with support for 120W and 100W wired charging respectively. The latest Vivo X100 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging. The devices are running on Android 14 with OriginOS 4 out of the box.
