TRAI recommends to offer free data to rural subscribers

Since the launch of Jio, there is huge change seen in the telecom sector. Now TRAI recommending for another massive change in the telecom sector.

 

 

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), issued a recommendation to offer free data in rural areas on monthly basis. With this move, it may boost cashless transactions in the rural parts of the country.

 

As per the recommendation, telecom operators have to be offer atleast 100 MB free data for every user of rural areas. Moreover, the recommendation also suggests that the scheme must be telecom operator agnostic and not to involve anything between the TSP and content provider. So, not to be violate the free offer.
