UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payment service is down in India and the same created massive problems to the users since morning today. The problem mainly occurred to those who are totally dependent on the digital transaction setup.
It is reported that the problem was faced by both individuals and businesses across the country. According to the DownDetector reports, the problem was extensive, with around 1,168 complaints logged by afternoon. The problem created issues to various payments applications, like Google Pay users complained of 96 issues, while Paytm users complained of 23. Unfortunately, there is no information about the reason behind the problem yet.
Having said that, NPCI has admitted the issue and it is said that “NPCI is currently facing intermittent technical issues, leading to partial UPI transaction declines. We are working to resolve the issue and will keep you updated. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
