Last week we updated that WhatsApp is working on the old text status, which the company has removed when the revamped Status launched. Many users (personally I) really wanted to get the old text based status, and finally the rolls out it to the beta users of the app with a new name.
In the v2.17.95 the company has rolled out the old text status, and the company is given new name. it will now call as ‘About’, and it is not visible directly.
To set text status, you have to go ‘Settings’ (by tapping the three dots) and tap on your ‘Name’. Now you will see ‘About and phone number’, and tap on the it to change or set new status.
As the company rolls out the feature into the beta version, then company may soon roll out to the stable version soon. And if you want to get the old text status now, then enrol to the official beta program.
