From the past couple of years, the world’s most favourite instant messaging application WhatsApp is working on its payments feature and the same is in the beta stage in India for more than two years now. Well, today the company has officially rolled out the much-anticipated WhatsApp payments feature and don’t expect the same in India as the company has rolled out the feature in Brazil and makes the country the very first to get the feature on the board.
With the new feature, users of Brazil can able to send and receive payment via WhatsApp and the Instant Messenger will utilize the power of Facebook Pay for the same and there is no wrong in that because you can use the parent’s stuff for your own use.
Just like any other digital payment platform, the new WhatsApp payments also require the linking of credit card or debit card of the user and the company has also joined its hand with Banco do Brasil, Nubank, and Sicredi.
Having said that, the company has confirmed that users are not required to pay any commission for the service but the businesses will be charged about a 3.99% for the processing of the received the payments.
So, that’s all about the feature in Brazil and we hope that the company will overcome all obstacles in India and launch the same very soon.
