Xiaomi is currently working on its next generation flagship smartphone series dubbed the Xiaomi 16 series and today it is reported that the company will be launching a model called the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini with a 6.3 inch display and the 16 Pro will feature a 6.8 inch display. Both models will come with a large, horizontal matrix-style camera module.
If the information is correct then it is the first time the company is introducing a compact-sized Pro variant in the number series. The vanilla variant of the smartphone series will feature a 6.3-inch screen, while the entire series could comprise four models including Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini (tentative name), and Xiaomi 16 Ultra.
The upcoming Pro models of the smartphone series are tipped to come with a periscope telephoto lens while the Ultra variant is expected to come with Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra-like secondary display on the back.
It is expected that the smartphone series will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor and the company is believed to launch the smartphone series in October.
