Back in last week, we came across a report which suggested that Xiaomi will launch its latest Android One smartphone which is called Mi A3 in the market of India on August 23. However, today the company has officially announced the launch date and it is a bit earlier than the rumored date.
The company has announced that the device will be official in the market of India on August 21, it will be launched in India at an event at 12:00 p.m. noon. Xiaomi did not reveal any other details of the availability but we expect that the smartphone will available via Flipkart along with the Mi Store.

Specifications of Mi A3
The device sports a 6.08 inch HD+ AMOLED display with 1560 X 720 pixels resolution and the device also has a waterdrop like notch on the top of the display along with the 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It is also protected with the Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and paired with 4GB of RAM. In terms of the storage, the device will available in two storage variants – 64 GB and 128 GB and that can be expandable via MicroSD card.
Speaking about the camera department, the Mi A3 rocks triple rear cameras and that’s in the combination of a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 118-degree wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor for depth sensing. Upfront, the smartphone also has the 32-megapixel camera for the selfies and video calls. The device also supports the in-display fingerprint scanner for the additional layer of security.
Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Talking about the software, the device runs on the Android One program which means users will get the stock Android along with the regular software as well as the security updates and it runs on the latest version of Android i.e. Android 9.0. Lastly, the smartphone ships on a 4,030 mAh battery.
