Back in last year, the Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi launched its new budget smartphone offering called Redmi 5A. And it was promoted as the ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’, the device came with two variants- 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of internal storage and it was available via the flash sale on the Flipkart.

The 2 GB RAM variant of the device was offered with a discount price of ₹4,999, however, now the company has announced that the device will not be offered for the discounted price, as it will available for its actual price and that is ₹5,999. Well, this is not a sudden decision, as the company said at the time of the launch that they will offer a special price tag for the device until it will sell 5 million units of the device and the company reached the milestone very quickly.
The decision will break many hearts out there because lots of people could not able to buy the device through the flash sale. Having said that, the 3 GB variant of the device is now available in offline stores but it is priced at ₹7,499, which is ₹500 more than the price of the device on online stores. You can purchase the device from Flipkart and Mi.com, and before you purchase the device don’t forget to read our review.
Well, for those who are going to buy the Redmi 5A, wait I have an advice for you. The company is all set to launch a new device called Redmi 5 on March 14, which means we are just two days away from the official launching and it is coming with better specs than the Redmi 5A.
