Xiaomi is very constant in launching their products in India. They don’t always delay too much in launching a new product here. We can see a new product launch every 2 months, or maximum 3 months. Now talking about this year, in February Xiaomi came up with Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Prosmartphones, and Mi LED Smart TV 4. Just after a month, they had another launch event where they launched Mi LED Smart TV 4A i.e. yesterday. Now today, Xiaomi is teasing a new launch event in India.
Redmi India social media handles are now teasing a new smartphone launch on 14th of March. According to them, this is going to be a compact powerhouse. Well, many Redmi devices are already a powerhouse with more than 4000mAh battery, so what will be the battery capacity of this new Redmi phone? That would be interesting to know. There are many rumours that Xiaomi is launching Redmi 5 smartphone which was launched in China back in December last year. But if we go through the specs of Redmi 5, it has a battery capacity of just 3300mAh which is way lesser than many other Redmi devices.
So, here I am guessing that Xiaomi will launch a new phone with the same name ‘Redmi 5’. Also, the teaser suggests that it’s going to be a compact powerhouse, and Redmi 5 has a 5.7 inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Despite having 18:9 ratio, the 5.7 inch display will not be considered as compact size. So, again the assumption of Redmi 5 is going wrong.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Currently, Xiaomi didn’t provide more information about the upcoming device, but we don’t have to wait much as 14th March is not too far to wait.
