Yesterday, Xiaomi had shared a new teaser and by the looks of it, the company seems to be gearing up to launch the Mi TV 4 alongside the Redmi Note 5 on Feb 14(tomorrow). The teaser on its social media channels that suggests a TV with ultra-thin frames and a big glossy display with a neon blue frame, which is a feature of the Mi TV 4.
The Mi TV 4 is already available in China and boasts of an ultra-thin narrow-bezel frame. It is equipped with Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound. The Mi TV is a modular television, which means that motherboard and the speakers are housed in a separate unit while the display is a separate unit, which helps Xiaomi achieve an ultra-thin profile.
The teaser posted on the social media shows a sleek frame along with a message — “Mi fans! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? #WhatIsThat Something wonderful is about to happen this Valentine’s Day.”
The Mi TV 4 comes in three models 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch displays with just 4.9mm slim frame-less design. The 43-inch and 49-inch come with a Full-HD 1080p display while the 50-inch, 55-inch, and the 65-inch models have 4K displays. The Mi TV 4 features a 4K panel along with HDR10 and comes with Xiaomi’s PatchWall UI, which relies on AI to serve up recommendations based on your viewing preferences.
The company has also integrated a Sound system along with the motherboard though users still have the option of attaching wireless speakers to ensure a wire-free sound setup. Mi TV bar comes with ten integrated speakers along with two wireless rear satellite speakers and a sub-woofer. The Mi Bar has access to all the HDMI, USB 3.0, LAN Network and other additional sound ports and only need one cable from Mi Port to transfer all the information to the display.
Like the rest of Xiaomi’s products, the Mi TV 4 offers great value for money, with the 49-inch version starting out at just $500. The pricing of Mi TV 4 would be crucial but given the companies usual aggression when it comes to pricing, Mi TV is expected to be more affordable in comparison to similar rival TVs.
The Event will be live streamed on Xiaomi’s website tomorrow from 12 pm IST onwards. Do let us know on your thoughts about the teaser and which TV do u think is going to be launched.
