Well, I don’t believe that Yahoo needs an introduction as it is one of the popular email clients and also provides a multiple number of services. However, from sometime the company is not doing well, and in last year Verizon acquired the Yahoo.
Now the company has launched a brand new instant messaging app called Squirrel. Let’s check out what’s new in the Yahoo powered messaging app.
What’s new in Squirrel
Yahoo has developed the app by keeping in mind the people who chat a lot in groups, as the app has lots of functionality in the group. The app is more in line with workplace app Slack‘s channels, which allows a user to create groups for a select subset of the main group and allowing to send a “blast” message for the important messages.
Just like any other instant messaging apps, the all new Squirrel also supports file sharing option such as photos, videos, documents, website links. Custom reactions, mentions, and secret rooms round out the list of features.
Availability
Right now, the app works through invitation and it is available on Android and iOS. Having said that, the app is currently unavailable in India.
