After so much rumors in the market, Lenovo finally announced ZUK Edge in China. The key highlight of this phone is the whopping 86.4% screen to body ratio which makes it the most compact 5.5 inch smartphone. And it’s one of those few devices which runs on Android 7.0 nougat out of the box.
The specs of this phone are also very powerful. The ZUK Edge is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor clocked @ 2.35Ghz with Adreno 530 GPU. It sports a 5.5 inch Full HD display with very thin bezels carrying 86.4% screen to body ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top of both front and back. This phone comes in 2 variants, 4GB/3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage respectively but there’s no expandable storage so the storage is what you get.
Regarding camera it carries a 13MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor camera with PDAF, f2.2 aperture & dual tone LED flash.& an 8MP front camera with 1.12 micron pixel s. The rear 13MP camera has 4k support.
Regarding software it has the latest android 7.0 nougat out of the box with there custom ZUK UI. It houses a Utouch fingerprint sensor below the screen with various functionality present in ZUK Z2 Plus, or maybe some new also. This phone also has a heart rate sensor on the back, below the LED flash. The corners of this phone is covered with chamfered edges which makes it pretty classic. It has Dual sim, 4G LTE, Wifi, GPS, for connectivity.
This phone has two color options, Ceramic white & Titanium black. It’s announced now only in China, no info about other countries. The ZUK Edge is priced @ 2299 Yuan ($330, Rs.22460) for 4GB/32GB variant & 2499 Yuan ($359, Rs.24430) for 6GB/64GB variant. Lenovo has started taking orders in China & the sale starts from 1st Jan 2017..
