India is one of the major market for many smartphone OEMs. For Motorola as well, India is a very big platform in terms of mid-range smartphones. They sell some brilliant mid-range smartphones at a good price. But sadly that’s not the case with their flagship line-up. Back in 2016 they launched Moto Z smartphone, the last flagship by Motorola in India. Now in 2018 they are coming back in flagship market with Moto Z2 Force.
Never slow down, thanks to the 6,220 mAh power* on the Limited Edition #MotoZ2Force with #MotoTurboPowerMod! What’s more? Get ready to shatter limitations of fragile phone screens! Catch the live unveiling on 15th February at 12 Noon, here – https://t.co/2gaSVmx0T6 pic.twitter.com/B35pHBDqIV

Motorola has announced that they are launching Moto Z2 Force in India on 15th February. It is their flagship phone in India after a long time. The highlight of this phone is it’s display. It carries a 5.5” Quad HD display with shattershield technology. It is claimed by the company that this display is not easy to break. And they have already proved this with their previous shattershield phones like Moto X Force. Interestingly Motorola will also include a Moto Turbo Power Mod, which has a capacity of 3490mAh. So by adding phone’s internal 2750mAh battery, the Moto Z2 Force will have 6220mAh of battery capacity.
But one major thing where Motorola disappointed is the late launch. This Moto Z2 Force was unveiled way back in July 2017, and in India, they are launching on February 2018. That’s a gap of 6 to 7 months. In the past as well Motorola delayed their launches in India, but this is too late. Also as this is 2018 now, the Moto Z2 Force is sort of old now. Because this might be the only flagship of 2018 in India, which will come with older 16:9 panels. In India even the mid-range market has a lot of smartphones with 18:9 panels, so why would anyone will go for 16:9 flagship?
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking, I don’t think that Motorola should even launch this phone in India because everyone has forgotten this phone till now and people are now looking for latest design. This Moto Z2 Force can get some sales only if they price it very aggressively, around INR 25,000. But at this price, they already have a 6GB variant of Moto X4. So if they price this phone more than INR 25,000, they can’t sell a good amount of this phone. Well, what are your thoughts on the same? Do share your thoughts in the comments below.
