Apple has unveiled its new smartphone called iPhone SE (2020), the company unveiled the device without any physical event and that happened for the first time in the history and that’s due to the current pandemic situation. The new device is a successor of 2016’s version and comes with the compact factor along with the powerful features. Specifications of iPhone SE (2020)
The device features a 4.7 inch Retina HD display 1334 x 750 pixels resolution and offers True Tone as well as comes with the support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. It will also support the Haptic Touch support, and the same is available in newer iPhone models. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the latest A13 Bionic chipset, and its the same chipset which powers the latest and greatest iPhone 11 series. Well, it is really a great offering by the company, as users will get high performance in the compact smartphone. Apple hasn’t revealed the amount of RAM but the device will come with 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB of internal storage and that cannot be expandable.
Coming to the camera department, the most affordable iPhone SE (2020) will come with a single rear camera and that’s a 12 MP wide-angle with f/1.8 aperture, it also supports optical image stabilization, along with True Tone flash, and the same is also capable for 4K video recording at 60 fps and Slo‑mo 1080p at 240 fps. On the front, the device supports a 7 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, and the ability of 1080p video recording.
The newly announced iPhone SE (2020) comes with a current-generation TouchId fingerprint scanner and it is also coming with inbuilt stereo speaker and the IP67 water as well as dust resistant. Regarding the connectivity options, the phone supports Gigabit-class 4G LTE up to 1.6Gbps, 802.11ax Wi‑Fi 6 with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC with reader mode, GPS with GLONASS. The battery capacity is not announced but it is confirmed that the device will come with 18W fast charging technology and the same will also support Qi wireless charging. The device will boot on iOS 13 and the same will available in three colour options – Black, White, and (Product) Red.
Pricing and availability
The 64 GB storage variant costs $399, while the 128 GB model costs $449 and the 256 GB storage version is priced at $549. The device will available in the United States from April 24.
Coming to the Indian pricing and availability, the 64GB variant is priced at ₹42,500 while the 128GB variant costs ₹47,800, and ₹58,300 for the 256GB storage variant. Unfortunately, India’s availability has not been revealed.
