Going through the newly leaked images, the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 9 FE appears to share a similar design to the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro and the device is expected to be available in at least Phantom Black colour option.
It is also revealed that the device will feature 8.9mm thin, weighs 225g, and retains the signature AirTrigger controls. The device is reported to feature a 6.78-inch FullHD+ LTPO AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and the same can be boosted to 185Hz in Game Genie mode. The device is also reported to feature a peak brightness of 2,500 nits (with 1,600 nits in HDR mode) and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The upcoming Asus ROG Phone 9 FE is reported to come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC along with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device will be running on the Android 15 operating system out of the box.
Speaking about the camera department, the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 9 FE is rumored to feature a quad-camera system consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13MP ultrawide sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 32MP selfie camera. The device is also reported to come with a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 65W wired charging and it is also expected to support Wireless charging.
The device will also come with stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Hi-Res Audio support. The device will also support Wi-Fi 7 for connectivity and the device is said to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68-rated body.
