Asus ROG Phone Confirmed To Launch In India

Back in last month, we came through a report which said that the Taiwanese brand Asus will launch the ROG Phone in the Indian market in September. Well, today the CEO of the company has confirmed the arrival of the smartphone in India.

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that the ROG Phone will be launched in the Indian market, he said that the device will launch in Q3 of 2018. However, Shen didn’t provide the exact timeline of the launch. Well, the Q3 already started that means we closer to the launch. Moreover, this confirmation strengthens the last month’s report.

Shen didn’t say any word about the pricing and availability of the device. However, we can expect that the smartphone will have the price tag around ₹50,000.

A quick refresher

Asus ROG Phone, is the company’s first gaming smartphone. The device is coming with great specification and gives head-to-head competition with the recently launched gaming smartphones. The device sports 6 inch FHD+ display along with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by 2.96 GHz Snapdragon 845 processor and paired with 8 GB RAM along with Adreno 630 GPU. The device has 128/512 GB of internal storage.

The device has a dual camera at the back with the combination of 12 megapixel + 8 megapixel, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera. The Asus ROG Phone also has the cooling feature called 3D vapour-chamber cooling system, it also features ultrasonic AirTrigger touch sensors, a gamer-centric design with side-mounted ports optimized for landscape-mode.

It runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on “ROG Gaming” ZenUI, and the Asus ROG Phone is backed on 4,000 mAh, with 20W fast charging. You can read the detailed coverage of the device by heading over the link.
