Back in last month, the Canadian brand BlackBerry unveiled the BlackBerry KEY2. Well, today the company has launched the device in the Indian market. That said, the BlackBerry KEY2 is the successor of last year’s BlackBerry KEYOne but the device comes with improvements. So, let’s dive into the article to refresh your memories about the smartphone.
The BlackBerry KEY2 comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard (just like the predecessor) and the keyboard has the touch-sensitive and can be used for the navigation. Moreover, there is ‘Speed Key’ which gives shortcut access to different functions. The device sports 4.5 inch display and covered with 2.5D curved glass and has 1620 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by 2.2 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and paired with 6 GB RAM, along with two storage variants – 64/128 GB, and it can be expandable upto 256 GB via microSD card.
It has a dual camera setup at the back with the combination of 12 megapixel + 12 megapixel with Optical Superzoom, Portrait Mode, HDR, 4K video recording, and dual-tone LED flash. The device also has an 8 megapixel with Selfie Flash via LCD display. The device supports the fingerprint scanner and the BlackBerry DTEK Security Suite to give more security. It also supports dual SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB OTG, 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C 3.0, and GPS. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1, and the whole device is backed on 3,500 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
Speaking about the pricing and availability details of the device, the smartphone’s price starts at ₹42,990 and it will be available from July 31 through Amazon India.
