With the new Facebook service, you guys can able to make video chats with up to 50 members and this can be done without any time cap. The new service can be treated as an extension of the Messenger calling facility, as the Facebook Messenger allows voice as well as video calls but there is a restriction in the total number of participants. However, the company has successfully removed that with the new service i.e. Messenger Rooms.
Moreover, the new service of Facebook does not require any account which means if someone created a Room then he or she can able to share the link of the same. and people can join by clicking on that particular link. Having said that, it someone join a Room via the Messenger app, he or she can play with AR effects and new features like immersive backgrounds and mood lighting.
The Messenger Rooms also offers admin power, as the creator of a Room can decide who can see and join that particular Room, and also has the power to remove anyone from the call at any time, as well as lock the Room, this action will not allow anyone else to enter in the Room. That said, you can leave a Room whenever you want.
It’s worth noting that the brand new Messenger Rooms doesn’t support the much needed end-to-end encrypted feature, and that’s because its difficult to provide for video calling with large groups of people. However, Facebook says it’s working to implement the same in the future.
