HMD Global introduced a couple of devices with the power of the Unisoc T606 mobile processor and today we got a new piece of information that says the company is currently working on three mid range phones with Snapdragon mobile processor. According to the latest information, the codenames of the upcoming devices are Nighthawk, Tomcat, and the Project Fusion (a prototype model). So let’s start with the HMD Tomcat, it is not a new phone as we have already seen the phone previously on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench and it was listed with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 mobile processor. The source says that the device will come with the same processor and a new design with vibrant colors. It is expected to feature an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate and PureDisplay as well as HDR10+. The device is also expected to come with 108MP OIS + 8MP + 2MP on the back and it will also come with a 32MP front facing camera. The device will come with 8GB and 12 GB of RAM options along with 256GB internal storage. The device will be housing a 4,900mAh battery with 33W charging. The device will also feature an IP67 rating. It will also support BT 5.2, NFC, FPS on Display, Stereo Speakers, PureView, among others. The device will run on the latest Android 14 operating system out of the box. The device is expected to come with €400 for 8GB RAM variant while the 12/256GB will come with a price tag of €440.
Coming to the HMD Nighthawk, the device is expected to feature an AMOLED display with the FHD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be coming with 108MP OIS + 2MP on the back and it will feature a 32MP front facing camera. It will come with the power of the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC along with 8GB of RAM and it comes with 128GB, 256GB internal storage options. The device will be housing a large 5,000mAh battery. It will support Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.1, NFC, Dual Speakers, 3.5mm jack, and Micro SD, among others. It will be running on the Android 14 operating system out of the box. The 128 GB storage option is reported to come with a price tag of €250 while the 8/256GB will be coming with a price tag of €290.
Finally, HMD Project Fusion (Prototype Model) is believed to come with the power of the Snapdragon 778 mobile processor along with IPS FHD+ 6.6″ display. The device is expected to come with 108MP + 2MP PureView. The device will come with 8GB RAM on the board. The device will be housing a 4,800mAh with 30W Wired, 15W Wireless. The device is reported to support Wi-Fi 6E, HMD Smart Outfits, Dynamic Triple ISP, Pogo Pin, 3.5mm jack, among others.
