If you are an Indian citizen then you are familiar with Aadhaar card, as it is now the most important and vital document not only to prove your identity but also to avail social security schemes from the government. And you may also aware about the linking of mobile number and Aadhaar. After several appeals in honourable Supreme court, now there is a deadline to link both mobile number and Aadhar is February 6, 2018.
In general people, there is huge confusion about the linking. I also got to know that in many recharge retailers asking cash for the purpose of linking, you can go to the stores of your network (for instance Vodafone store) to do this process without paying. But if you are a person who cannot go to the store due to your busy schedule or physical disability. So in this article, I will guide you to link your mobile number to Aadhaar without going anywhere.
Follow the steps to link your mobile number with Aadhaar
- You need to call on 14546 (toll-free) from the number which you want to link.
- Follow the IVR, and keep ready your Aadhaar card with you.
- You need to enter the 12-digits Aadhaar number and press 1 to confirm it.
- After confirming, you will receive an OTP which is considered as your signature.
- You shouldn’t disconnect the call until you receive the OTP,
- Once you receive OTP, enter it and your will be disconnected.
- You will now receive an SMS, and it will read as ‘re-verification request accepted’ and you will receive an SMS for confirmation.
Simple isn’t??? You can now verify your mobile number to your Aadhaar card even without visiting any Store on retailers. If you find any problem while linking, let me know in the comments section and I will be happy to help you!
