The latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus chip is compatible with various LLMs such as Google’s Gemini Nano and Meta’s Llama 2 and 3. The chipset also comes with on-device LoRA (Low-Rank Approximation) Fusion technology. It is also said to be the industry’s first to achieve high-speed operation for specific LLMs.
It also comes with improved power efficiency and the processor integrates a “star speed engine” to optimize network connectivity and the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus also supports dual network.
The mobile processor is built on a 4nm process along with an octa-core CPU with one high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.4 GHz, it also comes with Cortex-X4 cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.0 GHz. The latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus also comes with the new NeuroPilot technology for improved AI processing and the APU 790 AI engine that will be capable to run LLMs with varying parameter sizes, from 1 billion to 33 billion.

It also comes with a second-generation hardware raytracing engine with an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU along with MediaTek’s Imagiq 990 ISP. The processor also supports MiraVision 990 for improved visual content processing. The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus mobile processor also features a 5G R16 modem with support for Sub-6GHz networks and downlink speeds of up to 7Gbps.
The upcoming Vivo X100S smartphone will be the first device to come with the power of the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Plus mobile processor. It is also believed that the upcoming iQOO Neo 9S Pro will also come with the processor.
