Samsung has announced the Galaxy M42 5G which is the cheapest 5G smartphone from the brand. If you remember, it is a rebranded version of the Galaxy A42 which was released in September as an exclusive to the European markets. 3. Oppo A53s 5G Launched in India as the Cheapest 5G Smartphone
The Chinese mobile manufacturer has launched the Oppo A53s 5G in India. It is the cheapest 5G handset in the country. It features a MediaTek SoC and has snatched the title of the cheapest 5G smartphone from Realme 8 5G, by whiskers. The smartphone is cheaper than Realme’s offering and offers more RAM for the price. As you might have guessed this smartphone also has a certain similarity with the Realme 5G smartphone. Let us explore the details of the Oppo A53s 5G in detail.

4. Qualcomm Reportedly Working on Snapdragon 888 Pro
The semiconductor manufacturer Qualcomm is reportedly working on a successor to the latest and greatest Snapdragon 888 which will be called Snapdragon 888 Pro. According to the leaks, the SoC will make it to the market during the second half of this year.
According to the Chinese leakster, Digital Chat Station, the new SoC is already being tested by the Chinese smartphone manufacturers. He also says that the smartphone powered by this chipset will debut in the third quarter of this year.Unlike last year, more Chinese OEMs will use the upcoming SoC according to the Weibo post.
The Snapdragon 888 Pro will have the same Cortex X1 core leading the charge and will have a higher clock speed, and the other cores will likely retain the same speed. Regarding the GPU, we might not see a huge bump again this year.
There are already concerns about the stability, throttling and battery efficiency of the Snapdragon 888 SoC. Many of the first smartphones that are powered by the SoC, like the Xiaomi MI 11, were running hotter in longer gaming sessions. IQOO is the subsidiary brand of Vivo which in turn is a child of the BBK industry. When IQOO stepped into the country, they came up with a single device and was quiet for a long time. Now the company is back and is expected to launch multiple phones this year. It starts with the IQOO 7 Series and the company has finally launched it in the Indian market.
There are two devices in the Series – IQOO 7 and IQOO 7 Legend. These smartphones feature the latest chipsets from Qualcomm, great display, cameras and amazing build quality.
