Update On Redmi Note 4 Explosion Issue. Who’s Faulty??

When any phone has any fault or problem caused by the OEM, the officials try to repair, replace, or refund the product to consumer. But sometimes consumers do create fake problems in the phone for greed or to spread negative publicity for the OEM. If you recall our article on Redmi Note 4 explosion that we posted 3 days ago, we have mentioned there that as of now Xiaomi hasn’t said anything on this incident. Now as Xiaomi has given the reply for this incident, all our confusions got cleared. So let’s get into it..

1st update from Xiaomi came that they are looking thoroughly and investigating into this matter & there priority is customer’s safety. Below is the statement given by Xiaomi :

“At Xiaomi, customer safety is of utmost importance to us. We have reached out to the customer to investigate this matter, and are awaiting further response.”

After Xiaomi investigated this case, they have finally come to the conclusion that whole case is original but that video was fake. The shop was not Poorvika store, which is one of the offline partner for Xiaomi in India. Xiaomi said that as of now there’s no proof that the phone mentioned in video was Xiaomi phone.

But the case of Redmi Note 4 explosion happened with Arjun was actually his own fault. He used a third party charger to charge the Redmi Note 4, which caused the explosion. He said that he bought this phone on 1st June, not 17th July as mentioned on the video. He also stated that he is not the person who’s the customer in that video. Now what happened to Arjun, whose Redmi Note 4 actually caught with fire. Well as a good gesture, Xiaomi has replaced the faulty unit with a brand new unit. Though that was Arjun’s fault and OEMs don’t replace phone on customers fault, but Xiaomi has replaced it. They might have done this to save their image which was on a negative side from past 3 days.

So that’s all the information we have as much as of now. From this incident we should learn that we should not use any third party charger, only official or branded chargers should be used.
