Back in last year, the honourable Supreme Court extended the deadline of Aadhaar linking to 31 March 2018. And we are getting messages from the bank and the telecom operators regarding the re-verification with the Aadhaar, and if you didn’t link your Aadhaar with mobile, and bank then don’t rush to do. As the deadline of linking Aadhaar has been extended, which means now you can use services without the worry of re-verification.
The honourable Supreme Court has extended the deadline of Aadhaar linking, and the next deadline hasn’t announced. However, this order will not be applied for the subsidies and benefits which we receive from the government, which means for the subsidies and benefits by the government we need to link your Aadhaar before the March 31.
Moreover, the apex court has also said that Aadhaar cannot be mandatory for an issue of a Tatkal Passport, which is also a big relief to those who want a passport in an emergency situation. Well, the new announcement by the Apex Court is really a welcome one because many people could not able to link their services with the Aadhaar due of various reasons, like they are living in aboard or they cannot go to a particular Centre because of illness and disability.
However, I will advise you to do this re-verification process as soon as possible because we don’t know what a new rule will come in after the announcement of a new deadline. And if you are a person who cannot go to the mobile store to link your mobile number with the Aadhaar, then you can do the process by sitting at your place, read our how-to guide.
