Back in MWC, Asus unveiled their flagship smartphone of the year, Zenfone 5Z. It packs some very premium specifications on paper. Recently we got to know that Asus is launching Zenfone 5Z smartphone in India on 4th July i.e. tomorrow. We know every specification of the device, except the variant launching in India and the pricing. Now today, we got to know about that too.
Seems like Flipkart had accidentally mentioned the pricing details of this upcoming flagship in India, along with the variant information. This Asus Zenfone 5Z starts in India at just INR 29,999 for the base 6GB+64GB variant. The 8GB+128GB variant is priced at INR 32,999 and at last the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at INR 36,999/-.
With this pricing, this Zenfone 5Z is now the cheapest Snapdragon 845 powered smartphone by surpassing OnePlus 6. The base variant i.e. 6GB+64GB variant of OnePlus 6 starts from INR 34,999 and goes higher at INR 39,999 for 8GB+128GB variant and INR 43,999 for 8GB+256GB variant. So there’s a huge price difference between both smartphones. It comes with Youtube and other google apps.
So now we have all the information about the Zenfone 5Z before the launch, except launch offers. Now as the pricing is already known, what are your thoughts on this Zenfone 5Z? Is this a better smartphone than OnePlus 6? Personally speaking, I don’t completely think so. In specs to price ratio, Zenfone 5Z is surely better than OnePlus 6. But in software, I don’t think so.
That’s Because now OnePlus has reached on a different level in terms of software. They are directly competing with OEMs like Google in terms of software support and stability to their devices. Well, what are your thoughts on my point? Let me know in the comment section below.
