1. Huawei P20 & P20 Pro Now Official:
After getting quite a bit of leaks and rumours about both these phones, finally this week Huawei unveiled both P20 & P20 Pro smartphones. Both these phones packs premium features and some new things as well. It has that bezel-less display with iPhone X like notch as well. It has flagship level performance with Huawei’s own Kirin 970 processor that has AI functionalities as well. If we talk about a revolutionary change, then the Pro variant has something. The Huawei P20 Pro is the 1st smartphone having Triple Camera Setup. This Triple Camera Setup is powered by Leica, the official partner of Huawei flagship cameras. 2. Xiaomi Unveiled Mi Mix 2s:
After getting leaks and rumours, the Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi finally unveiled the much-awaited smartphone called Mi Mix 2s in China. The device is not coming with the trend of that iPhone X like notch on top of the display and it comes with the design of the last year’s flagship smartphone of Xiaomi. From design perspective there’s nothing much that’s changed, but the internals have some considerable changes. These changes includes the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor, improved Dual Camera Setup, regular earpiece instead of previous Mix devices special earpiece (which were considered as flop), and support for ARCore. 3. Prime Membership For Jio Got Extended:
If you recall, last year in March, the newbie of Reliance Industry- Jio announced a Prime Membership Program under which the users can get special Jio plans which are very beneficial as compared to non-prime plans. This plan had a validity of one year i.e. till 31st March 2018, and that’s actually the date of this week. So instead of expiring the current Prime Membership, Jio is now giving extended validity of 1 more year. Now the validity is stretched to 31st March 2019. This is something which will give a relief to those who almost forgotten about this Prime Membership Program. 4. Carl’s Tweet On OnePlus 6 Notch, Then Deleted:
As we all know that most of the Chinese flagship smartphones will carry the notch design this year, a leak of OnePlus 6’s notch pops up on internet. Well that seemed like a normal leak until the company’s CEO Carl Pei quoted that tweet which carried that leak. He said ‘Learn to love the notch’ which clearly translated that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will surely have the notch design. Now the things started going wrong from here, as many people started complaining OnePlus for giving the notch design. Well usually the techies don’t like that design, and OnePlus base users are all techies. So finally after hearing a lot of criticism from all around, Carl deleted his quoted tweet. Well the reason is still unknown but there’s a slight chance that the tweet was just to engage audience with the notch design, and then launching the phone without notch. 5. Xiaomi Unveiled Mi Gaming Laptop In China:
If you recall back in 2016 Xiaomi launched their first laptops named as Mi Notebook Air in two different sized variants. Those were very good laptops considering the price they are offering them. But that was indeed a notebook and obviously not a perfect choice for gamers. Now to fill this gap, Xiaomi launched their 1st Mi Gaming Laptop this week. This laptop is a premium gaming laptop with premium features. It got a very powerful i7 7th Gen Intel CPU, Nvidia graphic card, and high capacity SSD storage. This laptop has a backlit keyboard with 16M colours. Xiaomi also concentrated a lot on cooling system, despite having heavy specifications.
