The Taiwanese chipmaker MediaTek has acquired Intel’s Enpirion Power Solutions Business for a total of $85 million (2.4 billion Yuan). The chip related assets from Intel Enpirion Power Solutions Business will be acquired by the company via its subsidiary Richtek. According to MediaTek the legal proceedings and documentation have already been cleared and the company expects the deal to be closed by the end of this year.
