If you think 108 MP resolution on a smartphone camera is too much, Samsung doesn’t agree with you. Samsung R&D is working on a 150 MP camera sensor for an upcoming smartphone. The new sensor by Samsung is based on the Nonacell (9 in 1) technology used on ISOCELL Bright HM1 Sensor, which was used on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The sensor used on the Galaxy S20 Ultra was a 108MP Sensor. The proprietary technology uses 9 in 1 pixel binning to get better quality high-resolution images.
