WhatsApp has started launching emoji responses to messages for all standard versions from April 18. The meta-supported instant messaging platform is waiting to implement another outdated feature. With the latest update of the iOS app, WhatsApp has added an option that allows users to restrict specific individuals from seeing their ‘last seen’ status.
WhatsApp’s latest beta release is on iOS. Additionally, it contains an option that allows the user to restrict specific contacts from viewing their end view status. Last Scene Status provides information to determine if the recipient has seen a message sent from another contact. You can use it to find out if a contact has read your message.
It is currently possible to disable the feature completely, otherwise it will restrict access to the people in your contact list. The new step will allow users to select specific contacts and prevent them from viewing their last viewed status.
The new option present in WhatsApp iOS beta version 22.9.0.70 that tagged My Contacts Except, below the last seen button in the privacy settings. The other side of this new option is that you will not be able to see the last seen person on your exclusion list. There are some other privacy and general updates implemented in the latest update of the app. This includes additional granular privacy restrictions associated with profile photos and information.
Beta testing for the latest update of WhatsApp is believed to have started on Android and iOS. This may indicate that the working version of the app will be available shortly. WhatsApp has not yet released any new information about these features.
